the tube failure led for 1&6 is on...

wat do?

Amp sounds fine...

Replace fuse and knock sligtly on tube 1 and 6.
If the fuse get´s blown again, replace them.

Notfalls in Bad Steben vorbeikommen, ist nicht so weit.

Entschuldigung Sie...Wenn ich nicht in Amerika leben wuerde, waere ich schon laengst vorbeigekommen ;)

Dresden is more of a fantasy homeland....

I'll replace and report back. Thanks for the fast help Herr Diezel.

Original fuse was burnt

New fuse installed then chopsticked the outside tubes...no blue led and amp sounds fine.

Is a tube going bad?

Also...can I remove a set or two of tubes and turn the Herbert into a 100 or 50w amp? Does it work the same as most other 4 power tube amps?

If so...how does this affect the impedance? I'm running a 4 ohm cab.

I would take an eye on the power tubes.

How old are they ?

Weis ich nicht. The amp is from 2006 and I'm thinking they're original. The prior owner used other tubes also...so these haven't been run continuously.

They're Ruby EL34's. I also have a new matched set of Svets I could replace 1&6 with...or the other tubes the previous owner use...a matched Sextet of SED Winged C 6550's which I could replace them all with.

Thoughts?
