Tube question

Do all renegades ship with Tung-sol preamp tubes and Ruby power tubes? I guess I was a little shocked to see my new Renegade head with those tubes installed.

I think that the Tung Sol and Ruby tubes are just the flavors that they are using now. The newest Tweaker 15 and 40, and the Rebel heads all also come with Tung Sol preamp and Ruby output tubes stock, where Egnater has previously used GT and JJ, and maybe other brands. I really like the sound I get with the Tung Sol preamp and Ruby output in my Tweaker 40. Tung Sol has a great rep for sound, and the Ruby tubes are guaranteed for 6 months and sound quite nice (Chinese). :rock:

What tubes were you expecting in the amp?
 
My Renegade came with Sovtek preamp tubes and Ruby power tubes so I'm guessing they use whatever they can get for the lowest price.
 
I guess I am not sure what I was expecting. My last amp was a Jet City JCA50H and that came with no name pre and power tubes. The tubes in there sound pretty good!!
