As the title suggests, I know this is a much discussed topic within this forum... Who's liked the EL34's, the 6550's, the 6L6's or what not? I'll be receiving a new (to me, it's a barely used floor model) VH4S soon and will do my usual tube cleanse and upgrade...it's a bonding thing.
Also, can anyone shed some light on how the VH4S is compared to the VH4 when it comes to sound, power, delivery, etc. Are they equally as loud or offer equal levels of headroom
? Or is the VH4S much quicker to crumble due to it being primarily 50W per side, as opposed to 100W mono? Just wondering if I had to pick only one, which would it be...
