Tube screamer in effects loop? (Tweaker 40)

I know the usual rule is to run an overdrive in front of the amp, but I just tried this tube screamer in the effects loop and I prefer how it sounds there. The pedal is an Ibanez TS7, and I'm running it into a Tweaker 40. I think it sounds great, but I want to make sure it's safe before I go and change my pedal board around.

I know this will probably shorten the life of my power tubes, just wondering if it's safe for the amp itself.

Totally safe, but man not sure how you prefer it, it should sound terrible...

Serial or parallel loop?

I believe it's a series loop. I have heard it should sound terrible, but it sounded like good natural power tube overdrive when I tried it. I've actually got the drive all the way down on the pedal, just the tone and level knobs are cranked.

I used an EQ in the effects loop of my last amp (a Randall RG50TC) as a clean boost and got a similar effect. This amp also had a series loop; in fact, I believe Bruce helped design it (could be wrong on this).
