Wonder what it would take to have a tube direct out without having a combo box to lug around? I play through a Pod xt live and use the Rebel 30 combo direct out. I would love to scale that down to just a box of tubes and a direct out, no speaker. Bruce, what would you think about something like that and what would it cost to get one? I play mostly in churches and stage volume is usually something they want eliminated, so going direct is appealing for that reason. For me, it simplifies my set up and takes the mic-ing variable out of the equation.

get a load box like one from thd that can handle the imedance of a rebel 30 head

that way you could use it with and without a speaker.

The Rebel 30 head is just that. You wont need a cab. Just use it in the silent mode and run it directly to the PA.

Yup. I wish the Renegade had the silent option on its direct out like the Rebel does. The direct out on the Renegade sounds great - I assume its the same as the one on the Rebel, just without the internal load.
