Tubes for the Herbert

Hey..

I was just wondering if anyone could recommend reliable pre- and powertubes for the Herbert. Up to now i have been using 6L6 powertubes and 12AX7 (i think) pretubes. I`ve always used a guitartech to change the tubes, so i dont know wich brand i currently have.

The reason i`m asking is because i feel the fuse keeps blowing often (a couple of times a year) and i dont use it as much (2-3 times a week at max, currently no gigging either). I changed all pre and powertubes 5 months ago, and today it just turned off...again.. is this normal? I have an older herbert (001/110)

try sed 6550 for your power tubes and ruby 12ax7 au5 hg+ in v1 and v2
12ax7 au5 hg in the rest of the pre amps

i like KT88's myself but are a little pricey
