Tubes

Hi all,
I'm planning on purchasing some new tubes and wandering which ones to try. Knowing some of you guys have been experimenting with tubes/Egnater amps longer then I, what better place to ask!

What is everyones favorite tube? I seem to be diggin these Svet's 6550 that I got from Eric a while back and seem to be his favorite, but how are the new production TS-6550 in comparison?
Has anyone tried the TS-EL34B's?

I read Bruce/Jeff say that most tubes are not reliable, but the Sov's are just not doing it for me :no:

I like the TS 6550's more than the Svet 6550's. Just seem to be a bit warmer and more suited to all the modules. I'm really liking them in mine.

Agreed,but only on the Mod50.The TS 6550 are by far my fav in that amp,big toneful and just natural sounding!!!!!
 
How do TS 5881's compare to Sovtek 5881's? Also where do you guys like to bias the TS 5881's?
