So I am doing my first show tonight with the Splawn 2x12's and am already dreading banging them up. Are the Tuki covers actually worth the money? They are about 1/3 the cost of a road case. I know it's dumb but I can take chipped guitars more than beat up amps.

They're great. You can't toss 'em around, but they totally save you from scraping on corners and doorways.

And, they're light!

As long as you use them. I got lazy and quit using them -

^ this. I love them them! They're not road cases, but they're NOT road cases. If you know what I'm sayin'.

Thanks all!!! Gonna order for sure. I'll do road cases for heads.

I have a couple Tuki covers for my Bogner and Splawn... they work great and I'll definitely get more in the future for other purchases.

They are excellent covers. I have both Tuki and a clamshell cover. Bothe brands are excellent quality.

Tuki vs. Studio Slips? Who gets the win?

For me, Studio Slips. 360 degree protection with the clamshell covers.

Ther'yre pretty much the same quality but I like the velcro strap on the bottom that Tuki offers.

Studio Slips for the win for me, have both. SS will put a strap on the bottom too. Susan is great to work with as well.

Yo thanks for posting about Tuki's! I got one for the Herbert & the Cetacea. Probably get a couple Studio Slips for a couple other amps just to see the difference for myself.

Tuki covers are good investments to protect your guitar cabs/amp heads/combo amps. I have a few of the padded versions which are really nice.

Well owrth it if you want to keep your gear in nice shape, light, easy, I have covers for all of my stuff, most of it Studio Slips and one Tuki for my Bogner 4x12 cab. The Tuki is stiffer material and is harder to store and roll up if that's important to you. Both offer excellent protection from basic bumps and bruises and I like the clamshells for all of my heads.
