TUNGSOL 6550 -BLUE, RED OR GREEN-too many choices-head hurts

I'm new to the Egnater family, and now own a Mod 50 with D/D and COD modules....I am one happy camper.
1. I get some noise, rumble when I first turn it on...like thunder in the background...is this normal?
2. Which of the Tungsol 6550 tubes should I order for that killer tone. Red, green or Blue?

Just contact Doug at dougstubes.com and tell him that you want the TS for your Mod 50 and he'll set you up. No need for the color stuff. Just my opinion of course, but Doug has never steered me wrong.

That rumble should not be normal. Hopefully Bruce will chime in.
