Bought a used tweaker 2x12 cab for my rebel 30. There are 2 jacks on the back labeled 8 ohms and that's it. Can't find any info online about how theses jacks are wired/configured - is one jack for running both speakers mono and the other for running the cab in stereo? I know can take the jack plate off but I dont know what i'd be looking at! Thanks.

Mono both speakers or stereo individual speakers, I run my Renegade using 2 speakers cables to the cabs mono jacks. don't know if its better to use 2 cables or 1, I can not hear any difference. I have upgraded the cabs internal hook up wires to thick monster cable to match my monster cable speaker cabals and again can not hear any difference lol. I have found that the cab sounds better sealed than with the back open. The open back sounds very very airy, sealed it is very tight and focused, everybody thinks the cab sounds better than my mates boogie 2x12. I also use a Beam Blocker on one speaker, with both speakers the cab lost too much top end when you are in front of it, they were doing their job a little too well.

Thanks Bruce & Keith, I think I understand. I like the setup as I saw a mod I was thinking of doing which would do the same thing ie allow each speaker to be used independently or as a 2x12 mono cab
I only have the back piece that is vented for my 2x12 but should be pretty easy to make something solid. I'll have to try that although the amp sounds killer as is!

I spent 18 months with the back open and thought nothing of it, sounded killer, totally happy. but then I was recording the cab trying to find the best mic placement and found that the cab was really bass heavy. so after some thought......put the back on, all the boom had gone and I don't use hardly any bass. around noon mark, no more. The cab still shakes the windows when I use it at home. I have just bought myself a little Egnater 1x12 to use at home to keep me in my wife's good books. My wife had a bit of a melt down, seems the Egnater is louder than my other amps in the house and I thought I was playing quieter than my Marshall JMP, but apparently not. So for at home use the 1x12 is perfect, still loud but with less penetration....ooh er. I use a Beam Blocker in the 1x12 too.
