Tweaker 40 - transformer question

I've read some things about bad transformers with the Tweaker 40. Is there a way to identify the production run with bad transformers via serial number or date of manufacture? I may be purchasing a tweaker 40 head used locally, so I just want to know if there is a quick & easy way to identify amps that might have the transformer issue.

Yes, look for the ones that say "Tweaker 40" on the front. No Joke!
