I have had my Tweaker 88 for a couple months now. I run it through 2 Tweaker 212 cabs. I found it a bit dark at first but after changing v1 and v2 to Tung-Sol 12ax7's. I am right in the zone. Ive been gigging with it very steady. One gig in particular I was outside in the heat 97 degrees and we had no shade. Terrible circumstances but pay was good. We played 2 loud hours. I was playing with master volume set around 2 o clock. Amp performed flawlessly. I am very surprised that the 88 hasn't been discussed more here on the Eggie Forum. They are indeed one hell of an amp.

I had one but found it to dark and took it back. I wish Bruce would add a presence knob. I loved all the features on the amp, just too dark for me. Glad to hear you love it, it is a great amp IMHO

I just loaded a new Tweaker 88 into my trunk :). Trying it out tomorrow for the first time (at rehearsal volume). I can't wait to see what it sounds like.

When you get that master around 1 o clock it shines. Just wait till you mic it! :0

I think the 88 is fantastic too. A little dark, yes, but I just made a small investment of an MXR 10 band to help that along, and it's absolutely brought it to life. Like Mylo I'm also contemplating changing V1 and 2 to Tung Sols, but for now, I'm loving it.
