tweaker 88 hum

I received the tweaker 88 last week. Bought it brand new online. There seems to be a pretty strong ground loop hum going trough the amp. I used a Hum-x with no success. I also tried another amp with the same exact setup (cab, cables etc.) and there was no hum. I've already sent an email to egnater but i'm wondering if anyone out there has encountered the same issue? I know sending it back to the seller is probably the only way. But I live in Canada and this will be a pain in the ass to send back to the US.

I played with it some more and realised the bulk of the problem seems to come when I put the "Hot/Clean" switch to "Hot". I understand that more gain = more hum but I'm talking about a huge increase in hum between the 2 settings. When I put it on "clean" it hums a bit but it's somewhat manageable (even with the gain cranked to the max). Anyone else has that problem?
 
Try another location, if no change, return to seller. Far less PITA than dealing with Egnater..
