Tweaker Tubes

Which pre-amp tube would you experiment with? Is V1 more critical than V2 or V3 in an Egnater Tweaker?

I'm thinking V1 is the initial gain stage amplifying the instrument signal. V2 is the post tone stack gain and V3 is post effects loop - is this correct? If so, I would think V1 changes everything, V2 has a lesser effect and V3 lesser still. I could be wrong though.

Generally, v1 will have the biggest impact in tone and as you go down the line, the less it will make a noticeable difference.
