Holy Mother of sonic goodness!! I hit the Twin Jet with EMG's for the first time and all I can say is Wow!!! I think these two are a match made in heaven. If that wasnt quite enough breakthrough I was really twisting knobs and found that when you really crank the treble it seemed to quiet the amp some but freakin tight and with a little more volume it was sweet. Man I may have found my sound!!! :D

Sick, sick amp... One of the ones I wish I kept. Such a sound!!

Peace,
V.

I like mine. I really like it even more with Gold Lion KT77's. Oh you will be turning knobs. On the second channel the treble control is way out there. Counterclockwise from 12 o clock down it adds mids, clockwise you hit a point between12 and 3 that does quiet the amp by scooping the mids. After that it adds highs. The presence, treble, and mids all interact. I like the bass control on full. That affects volume also. The bass control on the first channel is more like a NFB control where counter it tightens the amp, and clockwise it opens the tone more. The amp has a low mid growl to it. When you get it cooking it has a really nice natural tube compression. The 77's make the single notes jump at you.

How clean can channel 1 get? Clean enough for a gig? And channel 2...is it always metal or can you pull off VH on channel 2 with the gain down? I am not saying you have to cop it exactly but enough that a gig it won;t sound like playing VH through a Rectifier on 11.
