TwinJet re-tube

I think my TJ is ready for new preamp re-tubes. To my ears, my channel two is too dark, I want to brighten it up a bit.

Any suggestions?

I hear strange crackling type sounds when in channel one and a crap load of noise when in channel 2. Gain settings are usually between 1 and 3 o'clock. Channel volume between 9/10 o'clock & Master volume usually at noon.

Here is a pic of the inside. Can you help me identify V1 and so forth?

I would replace it with all Chinese 12AX7B tubes, should make things a bit brighter.
