Didn't get too much interest in this over at hcaf, but perhaps here there's more interest in amps & how they sound...
(...jus' kiddin' w/ that last one...)
At any rate, I threw these together REALLY fast with NO care taken regarding mic placement or quality of playing. Just wanted to record the two amps back to back & see how they compared on "tape" (although, since it's all digital, I guess it's just "virtual" tape... )
In each pass through, I began on the neck single coil of my Hamer Mirage (a Duncan Cool Rails), then switched to the bridge p-u: a Dimarzio Paf Pro. Each time, I step through all three footswitchable settings ~ clean, od, and od+built-in-boost. No pedals were used, and no eq was added at the board.
Here's the Speed Twin through an Avatar closed back 2x12 w/ Greenbacks:
Speed Twin
And here's the Studiotone through a Crate closed back 1x12 w/ a V30:
Studiotone
Lemme know whatch'y'all think!
