so i finally got an uber.rev. blue..love it/hate it...my problem is the mids.the open "a" string chug so to speak is punchy, loud, bright and overwhelms the whole eq of the amp.
how do you guys eq it to tame those bass/mids?
my settings are left to right starting with presence...
3 oclock

11:30

Speaker cabinets will make or break the tone. Could also be your pickups as well...OR the TUBES could be the issue. Unfortunately, you may need to be patient and look at one or more of these things to fine tune the tones.

I use "lower output" Suhr SSV pickups with my Soldano cab (Eminence speakers) and I get great tones!

My settings are:

Volume: 9 o'clock
Presence: 11 o'clock (acts more like a midrange contour than actual presence)
Treble: 2 o'clock
Middle: 10 - 11 o'clock
Bass: 1 o'clock
Gain: 9 - 2 o'clock.

Hope that helps!

Wow, that's not how I would decribe my Rev blue! It's one of the greatst amps I've ever played. I'll get my settings up here soon. I do tend to keep the gain below Noon and have the channel volume up.

I'm using a slant marshall loaded with 8ohm v30's.its my go to cabinet.
I play some older 80's stuff and open "a" chugs are common and it just over powers the whole sound.
I thought maybe someone had a work around.

That may be your problem. A Marshall cab with Vintage 30's is not going to bring out the goods of the Rev Blue. :aww:

FWIW, I run my Uber thru a Bogner loaded with V30s. It roars. Both the 2 X 12 and the 4X12.

I dialed some of it out but I lost the killer tone I had.I love how this thing has so many good tones.I guess I need to experiment a little more with speakers.
