Hey guys!

The Uber is set for clean and rhythm tones. The last thing thing I need to tackle is lead tones...

With most amps, I'd usually boost, but with my rhythm settings, the amp just comes out thin and over-saturated when kicking the front end...not a good sound.

I'm curious if you guys have had this problem before?

I'm thinking about an MXR 10 Band EQ to kick in for leads, cutting the lows and boosting the mids a bit....anyone try it with the Uberschall?

Thanks!

For volume boost... I use my G Major in the effects loop and set my "lead" patch at a higher output to get me a bump in volume to cut through the band for soloing.

I've also done this type of volume boosting by putting a CLEAN boost in the effects loop so that you're pushing the power tubes, but not the preamp tubes.

I actualy put a Maxon OD808 in front of my UBER and run it all the time to tighten up the amp. I set my gain around 1 o'clock and set my Maxon with the gain at 0, level maxed, and tone at 12'clock.

Hope that helps a little.

I have a Uber Rev Blue , and also use it with a Mills 4x12b.. Killer combo
The MXR 10band eq works great for boosting.. When I use that amp, that is what I use to boost it..
