So,
I scored a dead-cheap uberschall on ebay some time ago.
It arrived by mail, with all the tubes running around in the chassis, took quite a beating, but looks mint (it was well packed).

It plays as I believe it should, but the footswitch-LEDs work in reverse.

FX loop in use = FX LED lit = Normal & OK for me
but...
Clean channel in use = channel LED lit

Is this the way it should be? It's different than on my other, non-Bogner amps...

I have an uberschall as well and my footswitch works the same as yours does

thanx, I found it strange, but it's normal then... It messes with my mind though.

You should be able to reverse the wire on one lug of the switch to fix this. Very simple. I'm sure Bogner can tell you how to do it.

I'm expecting my Uber any moment now, but without a footswitch. Is it a simple 2 button, two instrument cable footswitch?

My F/S runs exactly the same way - Channel 1 is green, Channel 2 is off. FX is yellow when engaged, off when not.

It's solid Bro... And hey, love that Uber - she's a beast in the noon-onwards area of the dials.

Beast!!!
V.

How do those LED's light up? Does the FS need a 9V battery or is the power for the LED's coming from the amp?

I would love to know how the Uberschall footswitch is wired. Can someone kick down a buddy deal, and send me some good quality photos of the guts of the footswitch? my email address is letsneck(at)aol(dot)com. I would really appreciate it. I want to build a custom footswitch and I can't find any wiring schematic or layout on the net for the footswitch. I found one for the Shiva, but it has diodes and resistors in it, and I want to make sure I wire the switch up right. I am thinking that the footswitch is not your everyday generic "fits all" footswitch, because the Shiva switch is not. Please, please help if you can "with pictures". If you can't do pictures, please do not reply if you are not absolutely certain about the correct wiring for the footswitch. I ran into a problem building my Tremoverb footswitch, because people gave me the wrong information about the wiring, and it had me pulling my hair out to figure out why the thing didn't work correctly. 2 months later, I finally got the correct info from an amp tech. What a mess. So if you are not positive about the wiring, please do not assume you know how it "should be wired" and then shoot the info. to me as if it were fact. Thanks a million,
Chance
