Owned a Ubershall for a couple of months now and loving it but would like to know how you guys set up you're ubershall in the high gain side to stay tight.

Depends on the cabinet. But be very very mindful of the 'depth' knob. Secondly, lower the gain. Thirdly, interact the treble and middle till you find the sweetspot - THEN have at the global presence.

Peace,
Mo

Cheers thanks for the input. I actually never run my gain on high gain amps past half. The cab I am using is an engl 2/12 with vintage 30's. All my guitars have low to mid output pick ups. I guess I notice the most muddiness with my les pauls. The depth can be very sensitive.

Not familiar with the Engl 2x12. I run mine through a couple different 4x12s. Sounds fine with a number of different cabs and speakers, but the best was, yes, the Uberkab loaded with 75s and 30s.

Again, it's all in the subtractive EQ. Get that down first - then bring in the bass and depth and global presence. It's a game changer - biggest complaint I've heard Uberschall owners voice is how pissy it is to dial in standard good tones. It's the one amp I've come to realize that EQ'ing by ear over eye is super critical.

Keep it up - it rewards in spades.

Tried you're advise worked in spades. Quick question I used to own an old style ubercab rear loaded and it sounded like it had a blanket over it to my does the new front loaded ones sound more present thinking of taking the plunge. Those cabs do have some serious weight.

Cheers
