What would it be? How about Mark & Rectifier tone with Coliseum Power in one amp? Yes! I did it! I bought a Rectifier Pre amp on eBay tonight to go with my Quad pre amp. Now I have Mark IIC+, Mark III, Dual and Triple Rectifier Pre amps and tones in one set-up. I have Boogie Strategy 400 & Stereo 50/50 power amps for Coliseum and Mark power, using the 50/50 as a back up. I can control the whole deal with my Voodoo lab GC Pro & GCX midi switcher.

Right now the Quad & 400 are in the shop getting maintenance and the Rectifier won't be here until June 5th so I have few more days until Christmas in June.

Sounds like a cool rig.

For me it was the modded version 1 triaxis with ++ mod, TX4 triaxis with ++ mod into the custom stereo GEQ into the Strategy 400 with depth mods for both channels. The rig did everything. Had Recto tone, 2C++ tone and everything else. I would run for triaxis preamps together for that massive sound.

Ultimate Mesa rig?
Mine, of course.

2C+ Coliseum and Rev F Triple, both slaved into 2 Roland SDE 3000s, each out to my HHM900 and out to 2 cabs. Each amp running dry into one cab.
Other than mixing the signal differently(using a mixer to separate the wet/dry) I don’t know what Mesa amp combo would top this?

Maybe 2 C+ Coliseums.

Man, THAT is a sanitary rig !  What does the CAE piece do ? Is that an 8 loop switcher ? I'm assuming the Mesa amp switcher selects either/both Triaxis preamps.

I do have a Mark IV & TriAxis I could throw in, and my name is John, but I'm not Petrucci, and besides, my roadies would complain and quit if they had to carry anything that big.

Oh wait, roadies? oh yeah, I forgot to hire roadies, fuck!

The CAE and amps switcher simply switch things in and out. It’s only downfall was that certain patches use different gain stages and could cause phasing issues.

This is my ultimate MESA/Boogie rig. Quad & Rectifier pre amps with a Strategy 400 Power amp. It's light enough to bring one person, speakers and all.

I made this video on the first day of having this so I'm sure I'll get it dialed in as I play it more.

I had a TriAxis before I bought this rig, this rig is the TriAxis basically but with rotary knobs and 5 band GEQ's.

3 clean channels - Rec ch.1 regular and boosted with a TS9 mini. It's a dedicated clean with it's own EQ and toggle switches just like a Dual Rectifier. Quad ch.1 rhythm's tone and settings are shared with the lead but this channel actually sounds great the way it's EQ'd with the GEQ off. It has a little less gain than the pushed Rec clean and more mids.
4 lead channels - Rec. ch.2 regular and pushed, Quad ch.1 and ch.2. The Quad has a ton of gain on hand so I only have the TS9 on the Rectifier channel to tighten up the low end, and it does it nicely. The Rec has a solo boost which is variable and the Quad lead boost is kicking in the second channel. No noise gate is needed, as you can hear, the rig is quiet even with the gain up around 9 which is a ton, and a half.

I've been using more mids since I've been jamming with friends again, especially on Quad ch.1, ch.2 is still more scooped for heavy tone. I turned the mid way up on the Rec ch.2 to give it more cut for low end rhythm. The new cabinet is making a difference in EQ.

I don't need an attenuator for low volume playing either, I have a bunch of volume knobs to control the level. This rig is heavenly.

Use one of the loops to reverse the phase.

I have a Heartbreaker, Mark IV and Tremoverb. I've thought about using all three in a rig. But have not done it. I used the Mark IV and Tremoverb in a rig for years a few decades ago.

Good-bye 2020!! My final tone of the year that included many differents amps, they come and they go, this my favorite "desert island rig"! Straight in, except for reverb in the loop.
