Is there any way to run an M4 into a small 5W tube amp? I've never seen one with an effects loop so the signal would be going through another preamp section.

My Blackstar HT5 has a loop. The Epi valve thing with only the volume knob that I had did not. I have used both with modelers with decent results. I haven't tried to run any of my MTS gear through one though.

I run one of my M4s rthrough a 10w single ended power amp and it's a joy to use
Quiet enough for home use and bold enough sound to be correct
Utilises a single EL34 or 6L6/5881 and is one of my favourite toys
run that through a rivera 2 x 12" cab

that would be perfect. i've never seen a small single ended 5W or 10W power amp before but that is exactly what i'm looking for. unless egnater decides to make something similar to an randall rm20 with a 15W/7W switch. that would be cool too.
