Using serial and parallel loop at same time with Herbert

I have been using both serial and parallel loops of Herbert with following signal chain:

Serial send -> graphical eq -> volume pedal -> serial return
Parallel send -> Eventide timefactor (killdry on) -> parallel return

But my signal chain does not really work the way I would like because I want to control with the volume pedal the overall volume of Herbert and since the delay pedal (Timefactor) is on another loop the signal that it receives does not scale with the volume pedal output. So my repeats are now always of same volume but the main signal volume varies with volume pedal... :doh: But I would also like to avoid sending the main signal through AD conversion.

So I propably need something like this:

Serial send -> graphical EQ -> volume pedal -> Y cable (or Y buffer?) ->

After the Y branching, the signals should go
1. Y-> Serial return
2. Y-> Timefactor -> parallel return.

If I have understood correctly this is something that should work and with this I would avoid the Herbert's signal going totally thorugh the Timefactor's AD conversion.

So the question is that is a simple Y cable good for this or should I use some buffering device with 2 outputs after volume pedal? If so does anyone have recommendations which kind? And are there anything other that I may have missed here? I do kill the dry signal in the parallel path to avoid any phasing issues.

By the way, the Herbert's 3 effect loop design is the most elegant that I have seen in any amp. So verstatile...
