V30+G12K-100 in 2x12?

No - but I have used both speakers and they seem like some of the best for that kind of thing. The 100 has that great bass going on and the 30 sounds great with a mike. I do not tune low a lot any more but that is how I see it. I could be wrong, it's your ear that well tell.

B-standard, which is like a 7 string, is the tuning. I have a 6505+.

the K100 will provide more low end then the 75 with the V 30..

i tested all 3 extensivly, i went with a punchier cab and the 75/30 combo.

in a cab that isn't as punchy definatly the 100 over the 75 it sounds so much better too


its a much darker combination...

100 is going to sound fuller, but not necessarily better. IME scooped 75s work better for low tunings, they give a good definition to the sound. You'll never know until you try it for yourself. Get both & then sell the one you don't like.

I have mixed feelings about this. Some bass player treat it more like a piano/ a full range thing. Others take over the bottom. It has a lot to do with who you are working with. How you use the spectrum. But you are right you do not want to fight the other players range.

i was just, in my cab which is oversized prefer less boom..

i don't want it to knock me physically on my ass playing it at loud volumes

in a cab that isn't as deep i love em.

Thats right, not as much harsh sizzle. I don't see the G12K100s and P50s having anything in common really.
