I use a 5150... I like death metal... I like metal grilles... good cabs for me?

I'm leary about the speakers. I'm not a big fan of Eminence speakers. I'm sure the cabs themselves are built well, but I just like V30's.

What is up with this cab????????????????

Now if you really crave that extra low end, and you're truly serious about your power, you've got to check this cabinet out!! This ported powerhouse has two 15 inch, 300 watt Eminence Legends, allowing up to 600 watts of pure power!! This cabinet is a must have for metal guitarists who need that deep, detuned, "beefy" tone!!

That was my old bass cab in the 80s

If that is what you are looking for then that is your cab :)

Birth construction, 3/4" at that. Can't be too bad.

I own a 4x12 and flat out love it!!! Super tight and balanced tone... Very clear!!! Sounds killer from clean to super high gain...

Life time structure garantee and speaker got a 7 year warantee..

The only other brand I would look for at that price is splawn...

I would of agreed with you a few years back but celestion has went down in quality... Eminence makes so many speakers now it would be hard to beleave you could not find one that you liked...

The tone is all up to you and I understand that but eminence speakers are built every bit as well celestion...

I have yet to see someone on HC who bought one not like their Vader 4x12, and I recall a couple of people selling their generally well liked cabs (Engl Vintage 4x12 and an Uberkab, I think) after getting a Vader.
I've seen a band (Despised Icon) use them with 5150's, and their tone sounded pretty good. I'd definitely like to try one sometime.

I own a Vader 4x12. I have tried out so many cabs, and this Vader cab gives me more than I'll ever need. Anything that I've thrown at it, amazes me. I mainly play metal (high gain) at it, and it sounds better than a lot of cabs. Mark P loves the Bogner cabs, which are about double the price I got my Vader for, but I'm yet to try one of htem. I'd be surprised if I liked it more than this. This cab ain't going no where, but in my possession.

THe vader is top of the line... Flat out a killer cab... Email the dude at vader... I am pretty sure you get a small trial period where you can return the cab if you dont like it... Seems like he said no one has returned one yet...

Hank

I have a Vader cab...I have a small endorsementdeal with them...and they fucking kick ass! And Adam over at Vader is a REALLY nice guy to deal with!

And no...I don't get them cheaper saying good things about them. =)

But hey...Vital Remains play through them...Suffocation...JAMES MURPHY...Dying Fetus...they can't be THAT bad, right? =)

i thought you liked greenbacks?

I used two vader cabs for a tour and I absolutely hated them. They just didnt match up well with my recto. Too brittle and harsh sounding.

Wow, this thread is ancient. June 2006.

I do like Greenbacks a lot, and I like V30's a lot too. For low tuned heavier stuff, V30's are where it's at. For 80's metal stuff like Maiden, Greenbacks work better.

i really wish Vader would come out with a slant-front 4x12. then maybe i'd actually consider getting one.
