Here's a pedalboard that I did for a touring blues guitarist up in Salem, Oregon - Ty Curtis.

http://www.tycurtisband.com

Ty wanted a rig that would allow him to have a hybrid wet/dry set up with his two Red Plate Amplifiers. He wanted all of his distortion pedals wah and volume pedal to run together in one amp, and all of his modulation and time-based effects to run into another.

We built him a custom interface that allow him to use this set-up and when the dry amp is unplugged from the interface, all of the pedals are sent to the wet amp so the pedalboard could be used with a single amp if desired.

INTERFACE

Vertex Tri-Buffer (input, output to DRY amp, and ouput to WET amp), ISO transformer for WET Amp, Polarity switch, and WET amp can be run with all pedals when DRY amp is disconnected.

POWER SUPPLY

Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2+

ORDER OF PEDALS

INTERFACE (input buffer), Vox King Wah

VOODOO LAB PEDAL SWITCHER #1 (passive input)
(Hermida Dual Boost, Wampler Ecstacy, Wampler Plextortion)

Ernie Ball VPJR (25K active), INTERFACE (output buffer to DRY amp)

INTERFACE (split from DRY amp) VOODOO LAB PEDAL SWITCHER #2 (passive input)
(WMD Civilian Issue, Retro-Sonic Phaser, ZVEX SeekTrem, Wampler Faux Tape Echo)

INTERFACE (output buffer to WET amp w/ISO transformer and polarity switch)

It's a really cool rig overall and has some pedals that you wouldn't expect to see on a blues musicians pedalboard, but they work well together. I'll try to get a demo up before I ship it out.

Great looking board. That tube driver must rock! never had the pleasure of playing one but always wanted to.

any reason specifically why you run all the drive and effects into seperate amps instead of driving all the amps and only running one with effects? just personal preference?

He felt it the sound was more pure when having the distortion separated from everything else. He didn't like what distortion does to modulation and time based pedals. This was his preference.

Thanks!

"Blues musician"? That board?

Now I feel so silly when I go to blues jams with my TS-9 and maybe a Carbon Copy. :D

It looks awesome though. Amazing work!

Here's a quick run-through of Ty Curtis' hybrid WET/DRY set-up.

The usual set of excuses apply...
