:D

I know, I HATED sending off that JoseHG, I'm REALLY gonna hate sending off this Aldrich too...

So I take it you like?

Damn, I'd really like to try one of these sometime, or the actual Cameron model once released ;)

Wow, do I have a lot to learn about all the options on this amp.

I have had time to mess with it for about 45 minutes and this is the first amp I have ever owned that nails the hybrid Metallica RTL/Black Album tone that is in my head without any outboard help.

I jammed on Fight Fire with Fire, Creeping Death, Sad But True (in E   ) and Through the Never for quite a while.

While I know most folks who play Cameron mods are going for different tones, this thing does what I have been looking for. I A/B'd it with my Mark IV and the Mark actually felt stiff in comparioson... amazing.

This amp also cleans up very nice with the volume knob on my guitar. Interestingly, I decided to try out some lead runs (something I don't normally care to do too much) and it felt so fluid and fun to do that I actually wanted to play lead a bit

I also dropped my E to D and jammed on some Lamb Of God. Sounded pretty damn good.

Great amp. Can't wait to play it some more

My prediction, your brief review is going to produce some serious GAS for members of this forum.

You have me already thinking about getting one

I am actually thinking I may buy one of the production models as well.

JB told me once I try a Cameron I would be addicted. I understand what he meant now.

Anyone have a Jose for sale?

Oh yeah... I have heard that there can be significant differences even in the same mod type. Can anyone confirm or deny that? If there are, I may go after MegaMarks Aldrich as well. It doesn't apear to have as many switches/pull-push thingies as this one.

One more question.... Some of you here seem to know this particular head. Anyone know what the little switch inside the back of the amp (near where the 12ax7 info is written in marker) does exactly? I can hear a slight difference in tone when I play with it, but have no idea what it is doing.

Tony, is the switch on top of the chassis? Or on the back? If it's on top, it might be a switch for the loop.

It is on the top, inside the amp. Maybe iut does switch the effects loop on and off...haven't tried anythign through the loop yet. Will do that when I get the amp to the new house. It is already packed up in my car

I have a friend who had a Cameron modded Marshall and hated it once he finally got it back. So maybe there is a difference or maybe he just didnt like it as people's tastes can differ alot. I trust his ears as we like the same style amps and tones so that and the ridiculous wait times sealed any gas I had for a Cameron for me.

The next Jose on the block is mine... :D ;)

I'm hoping Mark's still modding, I've got a 1959 sitting in a box that'd be nice to send his way.
