Hey everybody!

I´ve seen the sample settings around the board, anyone have any settings of their one with a really aggressive tone?

ROCK ON! ton

VH-4 with EL34's.
DiMarzio SuperDistortion

Channel 3
Bass 2 O clock
Mid 10 O clock
Treble 2 O Clock
Volume .....
Gain 10-11 O Clock

Deep 10 O Clock
Presence 2 O Clock

Simple Boss Noise Gate pedal in the effectloop.

Recording of my band's next album will be in december/januari.
Music: Thrash metal. Slayer/Kreator stuff.
The goal is an in-your-face superdirect guitarsound.

I will post some clips around that time and make Peter proud :D

I think that CH4 on the VH-4 is the total aggro channel because of the compression on it. Try this setup:
Ch-4
Gain at max
Treb @ 2 o'clock
Mids @ 9 o'clock
Bass Pegged at Max

Presence @ 1 o'clock
Depth Pegged at Max

I used to run a pics only Orange OR 80 halfstack in conjunction with a first generation Chandler Tube Driver from 1986. The above setup on my Diezel is about as close as I've come to to capturing the sound of that rig with all of the amps that I currently own. --I'm also using EL-34's and Alnico humbuckers in a mahogany guitar.

That's way too much gain on channel 4.

It actually fills out nicely when you have the power amps volume cranked up @ 4 o'clock. It's good for feedback drenched soloing as well as some serious chugging.

I have teh gain on channel 4 at 9 o´clock and I think that´s ALOT!!! :) I can´t even imagine cranking it all the way up! :scared:
