VH-4 Problem -solved-

Hello,

I think theres something wrong with my Diezel. He sounds not the way he should and I tried to figure out, where the problem is.

I found this post and I can say, that I got more or less the same problem.

The Amp sounds strange and dull/dark.
I've tested the power tubes separately and they seem to be "okay"
Yesterday I turned up the preamp volume and the main volume down.... and it sounded like this

I checked the preamp tubes and found 7x 12AX7AC5 but on the amp it says, there should be one 12AT7C. I replaced the right one, but that didn't solve my problem.

this is how things will evolve i guess - as with all tech problems, I think you may expect that Peter Diezel himself will pop up and will ask you to send an email to diezel tech support.. they have always treated each of their customers flawlessly.. you being a german means you can get the amp in for a check directly at the diezel HQ, so it's indeed one thing to consider.. I believe this will really be a preamp tube gone wild.. hold tight
