hi peter, hi diezel-users....

i have a problem with my vh-4. since yesterday i use this fine small boss fc-50 midi board to switch channels. but when switching the channels the signal is muted for am moment (half a second?), so there ist no way to play e.g. verse with ch2 and chorus with ch3 without making a break... i thought when i step on the pedal the channel switches immediately.

when switching the channels on the front panel it's the same problem...

any suggestions? or would i have to step on the pedal half a second before e.g. the chorus begins? do i have to live with this half a second without tone?

regards

michael

Mute time is 10 milliseconds.

You never noticed a delay before using the boss ?

Where are You located and what´s the serial #
on the amp ?

hey peter,

i can't say what's the serial number because my amp is in our rehearsal room 65km away, but i'm the one from near the dutch border who stands in sms-contact with lars =) the one with the yellow telecaster, you know... the amp was in bad steben two weeks ago and you refreshed the tubes (it sounds great now an there are no futher problems besides my switching problem), so you may know which amps it is...

when changing the channels on the amp it's the same. i never tried to change while playing before, because my hands were using my guitar and i just have a pair of it =) and i didn't want to kick the switch while the amp is standing on a 4x12" cabinet, haha. so it was the first time trying to switch channels while playing. but, as mentioned, when switching the channels on the amp there is this long mute-time, too.

i think i have to resent the amp again? =) =) =)

best

michael

Hi Michael,

it seems You have to send the amp :aww:

this weekend i can't pass on the amp because we're going to record some new songs.
but next monday deutsche post will carry my vh-4 to the famous diezel dampfschmiede!

so long!

btw., it's so amazing what a vh-4 can get out of a standard telecaster. monster!
