Hi folks!

I’m a newbie here, so please go easy on me!

I have a vh4-2 pedal.... it’s wired into my effects loop...this pedal sounds awesome and I love it but, the volume control barely comes off the bottom... as I turn it slightly it really loud. Any advice on how to tame this bad boy?
Cheers guys!

I have that pedal and know the exact issue you're talking about. The pedal does sound best thru the effects return of a head IMO as opposed to the front end if the amp. The problem is most effect loops don't have a volume....some do. Also if the amp doesn't have a true master volume them same issue. For example.....I've run it thru the effect return if a 5153 50 watt and that amp has no volume on the effect loop or a master volume. So.....what I do is run the VH4 2 pedal into a TC Nova System and then into the effect return if the amp. This way I can use the global volume control of the Nova to pad the input down. That will do what you're trying to do. So basically you need something in between the pedal and the amp that has volume control.

Yeah..... in between the VH4 2 and the effect return....that should work just fine
