Hey guys. I posted this on the ESP forum also, but thought I would see if some Diezel veterans can also help me out.

Hey guys you know me and my quest for the ultimate clean tone. I find that when my Diezel channel one is set clean with no effects it is loud, punchy and just perfect. When I had the chorus and flange to the Send return to only that channel I lose volume and some tone IMO. Do guys find that to? Is it better to have them in the front? I just hate switching pedals and stuff like that I have them all set in my midi controller to turn them one when I want. like one patch is clean with nothing, the other is clean with the chorus and touch of flange. But the clean with out any effects sounds so amazing. Anyway to have my effects in there but preserve that clean. Maybe try the series or parallel loops? Thanks guys!

I would definately try a different loop Sean. Are your effects digital or analog?
Read 3.2.2. an on of the Herbert manual, as I don't have the VH4 manual, but I'm pretty sure it's the same way...talks about signal loss in ADA conversions, etc.

Well all effects like delays, verbs and choruses are better to be used in parallel

Hey guys I fized it! I ran it through the parallel loop and it sounds sick!! Totally prerves most of my clean tone. SOunds so much better I made a sound clip of it. Go to my song page and I started recroding with a lexicon Lambda and played a quick test riff. The rest of the songs are all wi the POD Xt  Which I will be redoing now that I have the lexicon. :)

fan boy I am I added a Vh4 test of the end of fade to black with a simple beat and no bass. The VH4 records quite well. However CONTRUCTIVE critisism on the tone would be appreciated. I know I am not the perfect player alrady :D
