Alaaf!
Does anybody know if there´s a double door case for a VH4? I know it could be custom made but maybe there´s a company that builds it anyway or a existing double door case fits for a VH4...

Helau!

Hi guys,
I'm interested in this too...what type would you suggest, this "live-in" one or the lift off lid?

"live-in"

lift off lid

Is there any overheating issue with the live-in model since the amp is surrounded by the case during usage?
Is it easy to take the amp in/out of the live-in type case?
So basically what did (or would) you choose for your amp and why?

Talking about brands, I've heard good things about NSP Cases (lift off lid / "live-in") and Castle Cases, but any other suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot!

I have a "lift off lid"-version but now after a few years I would buy a "live in". The problem with the lift of lid is that you have to take the amp all the way out when you want to use the jacks on the backplate which are the lowest.

...very interesting point: so if I put my VH-4 in a lift off lid case I won't be able to use fx loop, MIDI, power, speaker output etc. without taking the amp off, am I right?

No that´s not right. When my amp is in the case I have no possibility to use the second 8Ohm Output, the second 16Ohm output and so on. That´s because lower part of the case in which the amp stands is too high.

...thanks a lot...well, looking at the back of my amp the only thing I'm still worried about is the MIDI since it's located a little below the power input and all the other "upper" jacks.

If MIDI In/Out are still usable, I could definitely consider the lift-off lid case; "live-in" type seems really useful and reliable because it protects the amp even when you're playing, but on the other hand I'd like to be able to take it off the case when I need it and with the live-in seems a little tricky to do. Never had one though, I'm just guessing so I could be totally wrong.
