VH4 into my new cab

I just received a my new mesa boogie 4x12 cab but was wondering,,, which socket do i plug it into for my VH4 for speaker cab to amplifier on the back???

i am just unwise of what ohm socket to select to plug in as required

Usually 8 Ohm on both, amp and cab

and

2x8 ohm on vh4 or 1x8 ohm on vh4?

you plug ONE speaker cable in the 1x8 ohm jack on the VH4 with one end, the other end into the 1x8ohm input of your cab.

Hey! You're using one cab. So you connect it to the 1x8 ohm output of the VH 4. If you use two cabs with an impedance of 8 ohm each, you connect each one to the 2x8 ohm outputs on the amp. Clear?
