Hello !

I would buy a Rocktron MIDI XChange to control my VH4 channels.

Already, is it possible to use this footswitch ?
Do I need to use a MIDI CABLE with 5 / 5 pin, 7 / 7 pins or 5 / 7 pins ?

Thank you very much !!!

Welcome to the board, Slivoid

I´m not too much into pedals and effect units.
Be sure the guys chime and and will answer.

The Rocktron Xchange should technically work, but I'd really spend the extra $$$ and get the Rocktron MidiMate--a much more full-featured controller that is a simple 5/5 connection with external power. Also I've used the ROCKMAN Midi controller with the VH4 and it works exceptionally well also. Check the operation of the Xchange--I think it only works sequentially (1-2-3-4)... if you need to go from 1 to 4 you may be sunk.

Hope this helps,

Yes, MidiMate is really more expensive and not always helpful with the VH4.

The All Access is great too, but too expensive and not very useful because the VH4 MIDI capability is limited.

However, with the XChange to jump from 1 to 4, I will push UP 4 times ...
