I've got a 2011 VH4 that's having an issue with a Wilder revolution footswitch. Until a few days ago it was working properly. I tried to use it yesterday and it won't switch channels, mute, etc. The LEDs light up on the footswitch. My first thing I did to troubleshoot, was to reprogram the pedal. No go. Secondly, I unplugged and re-plugged the cable at both the VH4 and the footswitch. Unfortunately, I don't have either another midi cable or footswitch. Any suggestions?

Does the controller take phantom power or is it powered independently?

I'd look at testing the amplifier with another controller & cable before considering the amp at fault.

Start with the cable.

Also I would check whether accidentally the amp was put out of OMNI mode and into one of the other channels, by accidentally holding the MUTE switch down.
If that is the case, try to put the amp back in OMNI using the guidelines from the manual:
"To put the amp into the Omni mode, hold the “Mute” switch down and activate the “Channel Insert” switch quickly and then release the mute switch."

I tried setting it back to omni mode, no change. Before I tried that when I selected a channel on the footswitch it would switch to that channel. Since trying to set the amp back to omni mode the mute and channel 1 LED's are lit and it won't switch channels on the footswitch, not the amp. it's still not changing channels on the amp. I'm pretty sure the pedal is busted, not the amp.

Did you insert Mr. Wilders controller chip in the amp ?

No, I haven't. I bought the amp used and it came with the pedal. Prior to last week it worked fine. It's not a big deal, just looking for suggestions to fix it. I think I'll try to find a Columbus.
