VH4 + MIDI Moose help

Could someone please help me out with the VH4 and phantom power with a MIDI footcontroller?

Here's what I got:

*VH4
*Tech 21 MIDI Moose
* Monster Cable Midi Cable (https://www.musiciansfriend.com/accessor ... midi-cable)

According the the VH4 manual (http://diezel.typo3.inpublica.de/upload ... sh_cor.pdf), it can phantom power a Midi footcontroller. Also, the Tech 21 MIDI Moose can be phantom powered via a MIDI cable (http://www.tech21nyc.com/support/manual ... ose-OM.pdf).

Am I missing some thing here? I have tried other MIDI cables and it still doesn't work.

Some help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

I'm new here, just bought a Herbert. I am using the Midi Moose and the phantom power does work. I was told the Monster midi cables wouldn't provide phantom power so I bought a Livewire MID-320 from GC and it works perfectly. Send the Monster back!

Thanks for the reply. I'll go to GC and pick up a Livewire MIDI cable. I'll report back with some results later.

Well....took my VH4 and the Midi Moose to GC to test out a Livewire MID-320 cable.

DIdn't work.

Grabbed another MIDI pedal. Didn't work.

My guess is that there might be something going on with the VH4.

Anyone?

Depending on when yours was built you may need a "update" in the midi.

Be sure to send him the amps serial #
