I've run my VH4 with a bunch a cabs and it seems like the amp was designed around a Front loaded cab. This type of cab really brings out the amp's voicing in the best way for me.
Maybe Peter will Chime in and either confirm or deny that.

It depends on Your style. I would prefer frontloaded
from classic rock to metal. If You are more into blues
and clean stuff go with the rearloaded. This cab is also
more forgiving with a slower attack.

Thanks Peter. So if I may ask, did you voice the VH4 with a Front or rear loaded cab or was it both?

I voice the amps with a very old frontloaded cap
to hear some more differences.

Thanks Peter, Thats interesting. Kind of confirms how I felt about the VH4. I need a Diezel Front loaded 412 now.
I'd like to thank you as well for creating one of the greatest heads on the Planet in the VH4!..
