Hi guys, I was hoping you might be able to help me figure something out...I'm really worried about my VH4 right now!!
Last night, I turned on the amp like I normally would, but for some reason there was a huge "pop" sound, and it stopped working. It has me totally confused, because I've been running it the same way for a month now and I haven't changed anything. It was plugged into an ART power conditioner, and the power conditioner was still running and showed no voltage issues. Also, the amp was connected to the 2x12 cab as usual, so it's not like it didn't have a load connected to it. The standby switch was on, so I wasn't turning it on directly to running mode either.
I've checked the speaker cable and power cable, and they seem fine, I changed the plug the VH4 was plugged into, but the amp just doesn't even turn on anymore. WTF? If anybody could suggest what I could do that would be greatly appreciated....I'm guessing I'm going to have to take it to my tech to get it fixed, but considering he checked it out and put new 6L6s in it late last summer, this is a last resort since it likely won't be cheap...
Thanks in advance!!
