VH4 with RUBY EL34BHT's, I like them lots. (clip inside)

I uploaded a clip of the VH4 loaded with RUBY EL34BHT's. I'm still not quite that good at recording but I liked the change in sound alot so I made a clip. The other clip on the page was with JJ E34L's but the lead and clean also had effects on it...so I don't know how good of a comparison that is.

You have gotten a pretty good tone out of your channel 3 this time. After it gets hit with a buss & mastering compressor it should sound something like the file attached.

You are still missing some body there. Have you tried angling your mic some?

Body comes back up at playing volume, can't play loud with the amp at home because I got the cops called on me. Still need a mic to point at the mid section of the cone and it'd beef up nice and good. I had a chance to try that with my buddy and it worked beautifully... file got corrupted though because I'm a pro tools noob. Also, I don't have mastering stuff, soo... yeah.
 
I don't think you need a lot more volume there, Nick. Just add more lows & mids & try again, don't pay attention to how it sounds in the room. You can also try lowering the tone knob on your guitar a bit.
