hi, hope somebody can help me here:

ive got my vh4s and columbus connected via midi and somethings causing problems now.
every once in a while when im playing the lights on my amp dim down a bit and even so the sound dies down to not much more than a bit of noise. if i dont have the columbus connected everything works just fine so i guess theres a problem either with my columbus or with the midielectronics on my amp.

i found a way to bypass the problem: if i choose a preset on the columbus e.g. 02 and then push the up button to 1- and and then i dont push any other button, everything seems to function. so its only when i have a channel selected and shown in my columbus that the issue is there.

also, sometimes i have a constant noise coming up on vh4s channels 2, 3 and 4 that sounds like my guitar pickups are damaged, i get a constant feedback background noise. this is not always so just randomly and with different guitars. And again, when the columbus is not connected everything works fine.

does anybody have/had this problem too or know what the problem might be or what i could do?

Does the problem is there only when the Col. is run off the VH4S with Phantom Power?

I had a similar problem with my midi-mate when the midi-connector touched the chassis. I added some insulation to it so the plug houding does not contact the chassis anymore, and the hums were gone.
