VH4S channels different volumes??

Hey guys, I have had a Herbert for a while, LOVE IT :rawk:

Recently, I got a VH4S and have been playing around with sounds, liking it, yet the A channel is not a full and loud and the B channel. Is this a tube issue?? Any help would be great, thanks!!
 
It could be the amount of gain is lower in one of the phase inverter tubes.
Try a new V8 and V9. If this does not help it may be power tube related.
 
Thanks for the advice Mark2C...I just ordered some preamp tubes, and have some new power amp tubes. I am hoping I get a chance to play around a bit and find some screamin' tones!
 
Sorry for the late reply I have been in the mountains with limited access.

A new PI tube should help. You have two separate power amps in the S, so if one PI tube is not pushing out the same
volume as the other it would interfere with the volume balance of the power amps.
