Seeing a member post a gif clip inspired me to share one. I recently started using a Ampero unit, the 3 footswitch button one. Guitar player on the right is using a digitech 1101. Never thought i would say this but it’s pretty damn good and sounds great live to my ears. Fits into a hardcase with my cables, and my quilter is just as small and light.

Dude, that sounds badass!! Great sound and you guys did awesome at that Winger jam.

You mentioned a Quilter. What is your exact setup? I have a Quilter 202 I'm going to use as a backup.

Thanks man! It’s a Ampero Hotone, using the Soldano amp, into the Problock 200, into a beat vertical Mesa 2-12 Recto cab. Guitar was a MIM EVH Wolfgang. I don’t require a bunch of sounds, so patches are perfect for crunch, lead, and clean. I’m amazed at how small the unit is, and how good it sounds for the price.

Good stuff man - good tone too. Love me some Winger. Easy come easy go. What was the Marshall doing?

I have the Quilter Tone Block 202 which I think is basically just an update to that amp. I have really been impressed with that thing and will have to look into the Hotone. I even have thought about getting the Soldano pedal to use with it. I don't need a bunch of sounds either.

Sounds great, now get the singer to sing in tune. He’s so flat. I know that song too and honestly didn’t even recognize it.

I forgot to ask, which ampero hotone product are you using? I saw the pedal, stage, etc.

I got a Mooer Prime PS1, then PS2 and finally S1; sounds better than they should for the price; still prefer the Helix tho' this size is amazing

also supports user IRs (with computer software to add/remove them).

Needs DI out and expression pedal input.

Prime S1

I’m using the original Ampero, not the newest version. I think i scored it new for like $300. I let a friend use my rig at a gig we shared (Ratt Tribute) , and he went out and bought the same setup. He was ready to order a new Splawn head and 4-12. He couldn’t believe how good it sounded.

It’s a great time to be a guitar player! Killer tones in such a affordable and small package!

Wow, that is awesome! If someone is on the fence about a tube amp and 4x12 and sounds are convincing enough or at least close, that is pretty damn impressive. Was that just thru the P.A. or did you have a speaker cab?

Sorry for all of the questions but I've been honing my Quilter skills and trying to pin down a great backup for gigs that could become my main sound.

The Ratt tribute thing is cool too man. I worshipped that band in high school. Going to see Stephen Pearcy in October.

No worries. Both our guitars were mic’d thru the pa. Have also used without being mic’d and it sounded killer. As a backup, i have my 3 sounds saved in another patch with cab sims on to run direct if something happened to my power amp.
