Just scored what seems to be a vintage 89 SH 4 for my kramer baretta special. Another option would be to have it installed in my Samick Les Paul ? I'm into 80s, 90s metal. Does it do the chug thing well??

I used my 80's JBJ pickup in the neck position of my Les Paul.

Have u ever tried it in the bridge?

Depends on what you call chug, I think ; Dave Mustain used one forever with Megadeth, but for modern stuff I'd think it a bit loose. I'm not a chug guy, so there's that!

I am just a rhythm guitar player, not really into leads. I suppose I will have to test it for myself in my Kramer and then maybe if I dont like it try it in my les paul.

Ive got the JB in a few different guitars and it`ll chug with tight palm mutes If your amp can get some tight low end . I use a Seymour Duncan 805 OD set as a boost to further tighten it up but even without it I wouldn't say its loose or flubby with my rig

I usually use my mesa boogie mark III or my ISP Theta preamp. We shall see! I think I should first test it in my Kramer and then the Les Paul. NowI have the Air Norton in my Les Paul and I dig it a lot. It just needed some height adjustment at first, but now it sounds pretty good I'd say.
