I read something interesting on harmony-central:

The Most wonderful function of herbert is V2 knob. it's volume 2, when it's activated you controll youe master volume with it, and original master volume(vol 1)is deactivated automatically. volume 2 is lot more quieter than volume 1 just like when you use some dummy load or power attenuator, but the tone is 100% untouched.

Is that true? I 've never heard of this before. Would be a nice feature...

That sounds a bit weird to me. My Einstein had 2 masters too and didn't act like that. Both were 100% equal.

Granted, I've only had mine 5 days but I can't say that I've noticed mine working like that.

Now I've tried it on my Herbert. Forget it, that was nonsense...

..at least my Herbert has no such feature...

The pots sometimes have tolerances at the
starting point between 7 and 9 o´clock. This
has nothing to do with the quality. They will
match at higher settings.
