Voodoo amps V-Rock how close to a real Jose Arrendondo amp

How close is the V-Rock to a Jose Arrendondo modded marshall,i have heard that jose did alot of mods,i would be interested if it would have the Van halen 1 sound(first album tone).

Hello and thanks for posting.

Let me preface this by saying; A common misconception is that there is only 1 Jose Mod. Jose performed several different Mods over the years. Some were more common than others but Jose had numerous speaker cabinets that were all loaded with various different speakers. For example if you used Greenbacks he would voice the amp with Greenbacks. It's important to note that there were not nearly as many cabinet and speakers options available like there is today. What this means is that some Jose modded amps may or may not sound ideal with your present rig.

Regarding the Voodoo Jose Mod- Over the years we have serviced and maintained Jose Modded amps and have blue printed each one. For years we were asked to perform the Jose Mod and after servicing several different Jose Modded amps we chose to offer the Mod that met the most common requests from players.

Voodoo V-Rock - Our V-Rock is based on our Jose Mod but we are able to control the quality of the build from the ground up.

Motley Crue / Dr Feelgood - We also had the honor of working on the Jose Modded Marshall that Mick Mars used on the Doctor Feelgood record. It's an outstanding amp that sounds amazing and also feels incredible! Aside from sounding amazing it's surprisingly versatile as well. IE: You can play blues on it as well as rock tones but it can be dialed in to nail the Mick Mars tones.

VanHalen 1 Tones - There are 2 different kinds of players. There are those who want to perfectly nail a tone 100% and there are those who want to get close but still have their own tone or get other tones as well. If you want to 100% nail the tone give me a call at the shop (too much info to list here) and I can walk you through the gear you need. If you want to get close we can do that as well.
