Hey guys,
I have a Eggie Vox single channel module in my m4 and it seems like the output of this mod is really low. I have the master maxed out just to keep up with the other modules that are set at 12:00 +-.
Any opinions on what the deal may be?, I have NOT tried new tubes yet. Just thought about this on my lunch hour and threw this out there.
Help!!
Thanks guys
Steve

I dont remember off hand, but it is not very high since this is my "clean" module. Although, It still seemed like it had a little bit of low output when I turned the gain up in the past.. I will double check when I get home and let you know. Is the Vox module a very "clean" clean unit? or does it always have a little grit in it's sound? Do you know what I mean? I am just now finding time to mess with with the M4 I bought a couple months ago.
Thanks!

it's definitely not the cleanest of clean. Has a little bit of that grit in it.

If you run your gain for a clean module at 9 o clock, you may very well have to dime the module volume to keep up with other modules.

thats probably the problem.. i guess i need to look for a cleaner "clean" module...
thanks man

I forget who posted it before, but lately, I've used this formula:

Dime the master on the Clean module, channel A.
Bring gain up to taste, where you like the amount of clean/grit
Adjust all other modules to balance out
Use the amp master as... the master!

I put a 5751 in V1 to help clean it up. I do run the module master high for BMAN and VX A and build around that.
