Well settings depend on the rest of your gear so I'd suggest just trusting your ears. Somebody else's tone is... Well... somebody else's tone. Right?

well it depends...i don't know if you know the herbert, but without a hint you will never find these tones....at least for me.

That sounds like pretty much as noon as Herbert gets. You just need the right guitar & the right hands.

Booster? I don't think so.

Just out of my head if I ran my LP with JB on channel 2 in plus mode, everything set to 12:00, including presence, deep with midcut on, maybe gain just a little bit more than 12:00, maybe even not, master at least 10:00, I'd bet it would come really close to that.
I'd say you need a cabinet (Bogner?)with 2 v30s & 2 other fuller/not mid heavy speakers for it.

If after a few minor tweaks you don't get what you want it's either the player or the amp/tubes.

After that it's all mic choice/placement (in case you are trying to record that type of tone).
