So, I'm really thinking about picking up a Torpedo Live. I was thinking last night that toying around with the free "Wall of Sound" plug in might give me a good idea of what to expect. So I ran the silent/direct out of my Hughes and Kettner Tubemiester to my interface, fired up the plug in, and wow!!! Instantly getting some pretty awesome tones. Very, very, very impressed with the cabinet simulation, power amp simulation, mics, etc.

Now I have some questions:
- Is it safe to base my expectations of the Torpedo live on what I am hearing from the plug in?
- Is the Torpedo Live going to sound vastly better/more authentic?
- Are there many of you using just the plug in and a 3rd party attenuator?
- Or perhaps a 3rd party attenuator and the CAB pedal?

Either way, I am pretty damn impressed with the plug in. Now I just need to decide which Two Notes product I should go with.

I can answer those.

The plugin has more options, but technically speaking it works the same.

The differences will be, if you take a Torpedo Live:

- you'll be able to take the signal on the speaker out of the amp
- the levels between our converter stage and the loadbox are perfectly matched to get the best dynamics and tone

I don't know if it will make a huge difference with the DAW you have, it depends on numerous factors. But I can't find a case where someone was disappointed in the Live after trying the plugin. Often, having all the loadbox and analog to digital conversion stage in the same box was an improvement over their existing system.
